Seola has been working as a professional hairstylist in Northern Virginia since 2012. She was welcomed to Valon Salon as the salon's new owner in the fall of 2026 after founder Valary Brown announced her retirement.Over the years, Seola has built lasting relationships with her clients through personalized service, attention to detail, and a genuine understanding of each client's individual style and needs. Her specialties include haircuts, perms, and Japanese hair straightening. With experience in Korean-inspired hair techniques and modern styles, she takes the time to listen to her clients and understand their hair type, lifestyle, and personal preferences. Her goal is to create a style that looks beautiful and is easy to maintain.As the owner and as a stylist of Valon Salon, Seola wants the salon to be more than just a place to get your hair done. She is creating a comfortable and inviting salon where clients can receive personalized attention and feel truly cared for. As she begins this new chapter, Seola will continue to value the relationships she has built with her clients throughout her career. Valon Salon is built on trust, quality, and personal care, with the goal of making every client feel confident and happy with their hair.

Lindsey has been with Valon since 2022. She graduated cosmetology school in 2015 and has done hair, waxing, and administrative work across the industry. She loves to attend classes to keep up with all trends, as the hair world changes constantly. Lindsey appreciates all the different styles and techniques that make each hairdresser unique and is honored to be part of a team that encourages each other to be the best they can be.

Dana has been a stylist for 40 years and has been at Valon Salon & Spa since 2005. She has been the salon education director for over 8 years, meaning she is in charge of training the apprentices in Valon Salon & Spa. Education is very important to Dana. To keep her skills up-to-date and see the latest trends, she attends many classes around the country. Her biggest accomplishment is achieving the Artist level in the Philp Pelusi Volumetric Haircutting System. Dana specializes in bobs and pixie cuts.

Jiyon has been at Valon Salon & Spa since 2001. She grew up watching her mom style hair and dreamed about making people feel beautiful and happy. She's had a passion for hair and beauty her whole life. She has mastered a wide range of hair techniques, including hair cutting, hair straightening, and dimensional coloring, and she is also certified in Brazilian Blowouts. She continues her education to stay up-to-date on all the latest trends so that she can give clients the look they want. She places a high value on listening to her clients, understanding their needs, and respecting their hair. She ensures her clients will love their hair when they leave her chair.

Monica came to Valon as a stylist in 2022. She has been in the hair industry since she was 16, starting out as an assistant in her sister's salon in Colombia before going on to earn her cosmetology license. Monica is an American Board Certified Colorist and is also certified in cutting, extensions, and multiple straightening systems. She specializes in color services, specifically blonding, color corrections, and gray blending.

Tina started her career as a hairstylist in NYC in 1987, working under some of the best stylists in the country. She has been with Valon since 2002. She enjoys traveling around the country to further her education at national shows and academies and has even traveled internationally to Japan and Taiwan to learn specialized scalp treatments. She has also been invited to participate in fashion shows in NYC multiple times. Tina says,

Elizabeth has worked at Valon Salon since 2007. Valon has been a place that has taught her how to not only pamper our clients, but to give them an overall amazing experience. She has received certifications from Philip Pelusi, Nioxin Scalp Therapy, Joico Shiatsu Scalp treatments, and attends many customer service classes. Katie joined the Valon front desk team in spring of 2022 as a newcomer to both the beauty industry and the Centreville area. Since coming to the salon, Katie has enjoyed learning about the hair business and loves getting to know all of Valon's guests, regulars and first-time visitors alike. In addition to coordinating the desk, Katie also stepped into the role of content manager at the start of 2023 and now handles Valon's social media and web presence.
